THE PRINTING PROCESS
Whether you’re ordering custom apparel for your brand, band, team, or business, understanding the process helps you know exactly what you’re getting. We focus on screen printing, embroidery, and direct-to-film (DTF) printing, and each method has its own step-by-step production workflow designed for quality, durability, and professional results.
HOW WE BRING YOUR DESIGNS TO LIFE
SCREEN PRINTING PROCESS (HOW SCREEN PRINTING WORKS)
Screen printing is one of the most popular methods for custom apparel, especially for bulk orders and bold designs.
Step 1: Artwork Creation & Film Output
Every screen print starts with your artwork. Designs are created digitally or provided by you, then converted into a high-contrast film positive used to create the stencil.
Step 2: Screen Preparation (Emulsion & Exposure)
A mesh screen is coated with light-sensitive emulsion and exposed to UV light using your film positive. The design blocks light in certain areas, creating a precise stencil after washing.
Step 3: Printing the Design
Ink is pushed through the stencil using a squeegee, transferring your design onto garments one color at a time. Each color requires its own screen for accurate layering.
Step 4: Curing for Durability
The printed garment is heat-cured using a conveyor dryer or heat press to permanently bond the ink to the fabric. This ensures long-lasting, wash-resistant results.
Best for: bulk orders, bold designs, team apparel, merch drops, and high-volume printing.
EMBROIDERY PROCESS (CUSTOM EMBROIDERY EXPLAINED)
Embroidery creates a premium, textured finish by stitching your design directly into the fabric using commercial multi-needle machines.
Step 1: Design Digitizing
Your artwork is converted into a digital embroidery file that tells the machine exactly how to stitch your design, including stitch direction, density, and color changes.
Step 2: Hooping & Machine Setup
The garment is secured in a hoop to keep it stable during stitching. Thread colors are loaded into a multi-needle embroidery machine for automatic color switching.
Step 3: Machine Embroidery Stitching
The machine stitches your design at high speed, building it thread-by-thread with precision and consistency across every item.
Step 4: Finishing & Cleanup
After stitching, excess threads are trimmed and backing is removed if needed. The result is a clean, durable, professional embroidered finish.
Best for: hats, polos, uniforms, corporate apparel, and premium branding.
DIRECT-TO-FILM (DTF) PRINTING PROCESS EXPLAINED
DTF printing is one of the most versatile methods for full-color, highly detailed designs on almost any fabric.
Step 1: Printing the Design on Film
Your design is printed onto a special transfer film using a high-resolution printer. White ink is added underneath to ensure vibrant colors on both light and dark garments. This process allows for photo-quality prints, gradients, and highly detailed artwork.
Step 2: Applying Adhesive Powder
While the ink is still wet, a fine adhesive powder is applied to the film. It sticks only to the printed areas and is then shaken to remove excess powder.
Step 3: Heat Curing the Transfer
The film is heated to melt and activate the adhesive, locking the design into a durable transfer that is ready for application.
Step 4: Heat Press Application
The design is heat pressed onto the garment using high pressure and temperature. After cooling, the film is peeled away, leaving a vibrant, flexible, and durable print.
Best for: small runs, full-color artwork, photos, detailed designs, and on-demand printing.
